How to Determine the Bathroom Heights of the Wall Tile, Vanity Mirrors, Lights and Shower Niche

    April 30, 2022 /

This post is part of a series of posts describing the processes that went into our entire bathroom remodel. When the bathroom remodel was still underway, we were getting things ready to be installed. As part of this process, we were making decisions about different bathroom heights. These heights include height of the wall tile and backsplash, vanity mirrors, vanity lights and shower niche. Let’s see how to determine bathroom heights. To see the post, “Bathroom Remodel: The Design Plans” go here. To see the finished remodel, summary and reveal, go here. (This post contains affiliate links. How to Fill in a Doorway

    April 13, 2022 /

As part of this bathroom remodel, we decided to remove the adjoining door to a bedroom and close up the doorway in the wall. This would allow us to then be able to fit a double vanity in its place. In this blog post, I will be showing you how to fill in a doorway. Bathroom Remodel: The Design Plans

    April 6, 2022 /

This has been a long time coming! We are finally going to remodel our upstairs full bathroom. It has always been put off while other projects kept popping up before it. After about 20 years, it has hardly been touched! This project will be a complete gut job and rebuilding of the room basically from scratch. You can follow along as we go in a series of blog posts documenting the progress. This first post about the bathroom remodel is the design plans. (This post contains affiliate links. How to Hang a Hook Rail in the Kitchen (Without Holes in the Backsplash Tile!)

    April 1, 2022 /

I wanted to hang something above my stove, but I really didn’t want to put holes into the tiles. Command strips were the perfect solution. With them you don’t have to worry about changing your mind, wanting to hang something different down the road or needing to change the placement of what you hang. I loved the look of a hook rail, especially a brass one to match my faucet and hardware, and was hoping I could hang one using Command strips. It worked! Here is how to hang a hook rail in the kitchen (without holes in the tile!). (This post contains affiliate links. This means I receive a…
