My Honest Review of the GE Cafe Stove
Our previous stove lasted us 20 years, but when it was time to get a new one I was excited to have one that could perform better than our old one, offer more with new technology, and also update the look of the whole kitchen. We shopped around and researched reviews and prices and came up with the electric GE Cafe stove in white. I honestly at first fell in love with the look of it, but I didn’t want to end up with a subpar stove just because it was so pretty! However, between all the features it had to offer (did someone say double oven?) and great reviews,…

I am a lover of neutrals when it comes to decor in any room, but that’s not to say that I don’t crave some color from time to time. Window Treatment Idea: Motorized Shades Added to the Basement Windows
In our finished basement, we have two egress windows. They previously had blackout curtains hanging on them. We would have to open and close them often, more often than other windows in the house, for privacy because of their location or to prevent glare on the tv screen. They looked fine, but I was never really in love with the look of them. Our electrician who installed everything when we finished the basement had recommended these motorized shades in the beginning. We passed on it at first, thinking it wasn’t necessary and that we’d be getting curtains instead. He decided to wire it up for them in case we changed…

These days many have been painting interior doors, most often the front door, different colors. However, once a door is painted a color it leads one to ask, “Do I match the trim color to the door color?” I recently was asking myself this question about our front door and side door to the garage, let me show you what I came up with!
