How do I make star wreaths?
Materials
- popsicle sticks
- glue gun
- pine branches pulled or cut from garland
- wire cutters
Here are some more comparable garlands and stems that would work:
How to Make the Christmas Stars
1. Form a star with your popsicle sticks. Here’s a trick to make a perfect star. As in the picture below, make sure the coordinating sticks are lining up with each other.
2. Using a hot glue gun, glue the sticks together.
3. Grab your garland and pull out or cut pieces off with your wire cutter. Trim them down if needed to the appropriate size to fit on your star.
4. With your glue gun on LOW, glue the branches onto the star.
5. When finished, fill in any gaps and trim off any excess. Attach some twine or ribbon for hanging, if desired.
I think they look cute hanging on my cabinet in the dining room in a pair or in a window!
